As a knife maker first I developed the Multi Guide Pro for my personal use to decrease my cost of producing a knife.  This first hand experience and cost saving goal is evident in the tool design as well as the detailed grind processes I have developed and demonstrated in numerous training videos on my Youtube channel BigIronTV.  

The Multi Guide Pro had carved out a place on the world stage as a class leading design and field proven top performer.    The Multi Guide Pro X expands on these class leading aspects of the design and pushes the grind capabilities even further ahead of the competition.  As of this posting there is no similar guide world wide that has demonstrated in real world custom grinding application the capabilities the Multi Guide Pro X has demonstrated.

Originally launched as a Multi Guide the guide soon underwent design revisions, hardware, materials, and machining process upgrades that significantly in proved the performance of the system.  The guide was re-released as the Multi Guide Pro.  For several years I have wanted to add a cross slide function however was not able to locate a suitable solution at an acceptable cost point.  While I searched for a solution I made a cross slide guide for myself and was able to explore the increased benefits of this function in the bevel grinding process.

In August 2020 while doing research and testing on possible cross slide solution a winner was found.  Multi Guide Pro X Intro Video

The Multi Guide Pro X effortlessly replaced my previous cross slide test unit.  Using the Pro X version was more enjoyable due to the reduced weight, compact size, increased accuracy, and reduced production cost.  Due to the high production cost of my personal cross slide test unit I had not been willing to offer it to the knife making public.  Now I am pleased to be able to offer the new Multi Guide Pro X with full confidence that it stands on a solid history of proven results and pushes the envelope of possibilities even further.

    An amazing well made tool. Repeatable consistent results. It will cut your time at the grinder by half. If your on the fence about getting one, then get it. Worth every penny and then some.
